Meet The Leadership Team
Bob Thomas
Fifty years ago a change of job brought Bob's family from London to live in Goytre. At that time he thought that this would be a stepping stone to his home near Swansea but the welcome he received from the people of Goytre, including those who were part of the church family at Capel Ed soon made him think again.

At that time,Capel Ed was a small traditional St Fagans type of chapel but he was welcomed and encouraged to get involved in activities for children and youth. In 1988 the sale of a small field next to the chapel allowed the church to extend and modernise. The floor was levelled allowing activities to be offered for people in the community, including Toddlers,Sunday Club,Holiday Club and Youth Club.
In Bob's words"our aim has always been to reach out to people whether they have attended a church or not, through coffee mornings, fairly informal times of worship, often with those attending invited to participate and share.
We have been blessed to have prayer answered with members of the church family enjoying better health than the prognosis they have received.
We are not a strict religious group, but in all that we do we try and follow the example Jesus gave in his life and reflect his love to everyone irrespective of their background.
We would love you to come in and meet us and see for yourselves who we are and experience our welcome."
